Olive Tree Media is a new organisation which strategically brings together the media ministries of Karl Faase. For over 14 years, Karl has been actively involved in the Australian Christian media scene both on TV and radio. We seek to bring the message of Jesus into the complex and challenging world of the media to help listeners and viewers consider a fresh perspective on life and faith.
WHAT'S THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE NAME OLIVE TREE MEDIA?
"But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God;
I trust in God's unfailing love forever and ever." Psalm 52:8
The passage from Psalm 52 talks about the place of growth and nurture being in the house of God, which in the Old Testament was the Temple. Today we believe this equates to the local church and it is within that community of faith that we hear the Word of God, are challenged to respond to the Word of God in ministry and service, and also nurtured by the family of God. Over all this is the love of God, which, as the passage says, is unfailing and endures forever. What an amazing promise for each of us!
