Karl Faase has been the Senior Pastor of Gymea Baptist Church in Sydney's southern suburbs since 1996. Gymea Baptist is a multi-faceted, multi-staffed church with a heart for reaching its community with the message and care of Jesus.

Karl is the Director of the Australian Arrow Leadership Development Program - a two year course for emerging Christian leaders from churches, christian groups, and businesses across Australia.

Karl, until recently, was the Director of the media project Jesus. All about life since its inception. This high profile media campaign worked in conjunction with local church participation and has been run in Adelaide, Canberra, Tasmania, Sydney and regional NSW, and Western Australia. His involvement ceased in December 2009.

Karl is the host of "Face to Face" - a weekly television program shown nationally on the Australian Christian Channel and is also aired in New Zealand, Asia and the UK.

Karl serves on the board of both the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association of Australia and Samaritans Purse.

Karl has been a key note speaker at numerous Christian events.

Karl is married to Jane and they have three adult children, Tim (married to Sarah) , Ainsley (married to Jamie) and Ellie.
