NEW LIFE – THREE STORIES OF HOPE

On Good Friday at 12.00 noon the Easter special "New Life" was seen nationally on Channel 7 (other than Melbourne where it was on at midnight due to the Good Friday Appeal held there each year). Over 174,000 people tuned in to watch. This show has been produced by OTM in conjunction with Christian Television Australia. The special featured the work of Samaritans Purse in Australia and overseas. The three great stories of hope include bringing new life to people in fire ravaged areas of Victoria, helping Haitians overcome the devastation of the earthquake and providing ongoing relief in Cambodia. Karl Faase hosted the program, which also featured Australian singer and recording artist, Marina Prior, and interviews victims who lost homes and loved ones. One year on, the guests shared how the work of disaster relief and mission organisation, Samaritans Purse had assisted their recovery.
