THE MEN'S SERIES NOW AVAILABLE!

Keep your eye out in August for The Men's Series at your local Christian bookshop or go to www.themensseries.com.au to purchase online. The series was launched on Saturday 28th August at Gymea Baptist Church in southern Sydney with the hosts of the Series Karl Faase and Al Stewart, plus NSW Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione and HOPE103.2's breakfast hosts Aaron & Dan.

Check out The Men’s Series on the Australian Christian Channel on Sunday nights at 6:30pm, Wednesday nights at 7:30pm and Thursdays at 1pm from 22nd August.

The Men’s Series looks at 11 topics relevant to men using a chat show style TV format. The programs were filmed in front of a live audience who were also able to contribute to the show’s topic in a question and answer session.

Karl Faase, Senior Pastor of Gymea Baptist Church, hosts the series with Al Stewart, formerly the Bishop of Wollongong in the Sydney Anglican Diocese and now heading up the ‘Geneva Push’.  Each episode features an interview with an expert who opens up the chosen topic. Subjects discussed over the 11 episodes include depression and anxiety, work, finding your passion, sex, marriage, mid-life crisis, parenting, finding faith, mates, health and money and generosity.

Both Karl and Al share the task of teaching on the topics from a Biblical perspective in a 12 minute message. Melbourne based Cameron Semmens is the program’s resident poet and in each episode he presents his unique poetry linking in with the topic of the show.

There is also a music segment, with musicians Colin Buchanan, Simeon and Mike McCarthy appearing on the shows.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING

Karl’s ministry spots are great! Sydney’s 1032 has been airing them since the beginning. Karl’s down to earth authentic approach is exactly what we were looking for, and our audience loves them.
