Faith Runs Deep is a documentary unearthing stories of faith in Australia. Karl Faase interviewed over 30 academics, historians and authors about some of the great people and moments that have made our nation.
A team of passionate HSIE educators have taken the content from these interviews and they have created a series of lessons to bring Christian Integration into the Stage 5 History Curriculum. These lessons are best used as a pack, so each can build on the prior learning and investigation of previous classes but they could also be used as a stand alone lesson, to enhance student learning and bring fresh perspectives.
These lessons are designed to support teachers to bring a Christian perspective and worldview into the classroom – allowing students to see the intersection between faith and our shared history and reflect on this critically and meaningfully.
Please refer to the teacher notes and syllabus outline which will show where these lessons sit within the broader Stage 5 History Syllabus.
